berenang lagie

again with the swimming!
since the reason why i started swimming again was because my hips don't lie and i was developing this handle that i do not love. then today i realized, wait~what benefits do each stroke offer? as i have SPECIFIC sites on my body that need immediate fat demolishing, i decided to look up on it and find the best one~ found this:

Breast stroke:

Breaststroke can improve the mobility of many joints

strengthens and tones the quadriceps at the front of the legs and the ham-strings at the back. as despite being the slowest sroke, it burns the most calories.

particularly calming and meditative

Backstroke

benefits postural awareness.

Backstroke strengthens the back, tones the legs and arms without putting strain on the spine, and increases hip and shoulder mobility.

Freestyle

It strengthens the back, tones the arms and legs, increases the mobility of the shoulders and hips as well as improving cardiovascular fitness.

There is evidence that the alternating action of the left and right side of the body balances the opposite hemispheres of the brain.

Butterfly

both energizing and calming. It mobilizes the spine, benefiting those with a stiff or tense back.

People suffering from sciatica and other lower back conditions have experienced relief

The stroke helps to tone the arms and legs, and the wide overarm recovery broadens the back.

so girls, choose the ones best for you ekh? btw, the amount of calories we lose is---------- 500-650 an hour! so come on babes let's swim!!

love happens

while i still adore this movie, let's learn new words.. :)

quidnunc!

poppysmic!

sesquipedalian!

yup, these are valid english words people..look 'em up!

and hey, love happens rite? who are we to stop it?

jamu anyone?

our tbl today was about antenatal and postnatal care, and while bin was presenting about postnatal care it occurred to me that today the JM at KK Dengkil told me and babe that jamu is not good for breastfeeding mothers whose children have neonatal jaundice. when asked why, she only said that jamu causes the body to become 'panas' and it's not good for the baby. having said that, i was obviously not convinced. evntho jamu is a familiar word, i have never come across it or talked about it, i bought it up during the tbl. we shared loads of info, but then it still wasn't clear to me.

so i decided to do a little reading of myself..wuhoo!

there's a whole blog on jamu as well! wow~while some brands have steroids on 'em, some are homemade. i asked mama if she used jamu and she said that an arwah nenek used to make homemade jamu for her.
one of the climbers who tried to scale mount everest, Asyran Roef Amran also bought jamu to keep his body warm

after reading some of the so-called benefits i was astonished on how no research has been done. the closest to one that i found was by a botanist in 1775, thus there is not enough evidence to say whether jamu is of benefit or not~
there's evn a jamu massage and a jamu stick!

p/s: tikah told me to put more pics in the blog to make it more interesting..yes, ma'am!! i wonder what made me so interested in jamu in the first place?titibe ber TCM pulak~

spegetti farm

while papa is watching Kungfu panda~

other than that, i had one of the best days of this year!! watched Love Happens, highly recommended, loads of emphasize on empathy and a good storyline. had fun laughin, fun kacauing and dikacau, and eventhough i didn't have breakfast and had a late lunch i was really happy the whole time~

you might ask y, simply because i had great company!

huhu though it was only one person, this person made me laugh the whole time, laughed at my jokes, and still can read my mind.

after the movie, had late lunch at spaghetti farm where we ate the value meal spaghetti, soup and soft drinks. the food was reasonably priced, but u get fed up after eating the spaghetti coz there's too much butter in 'em. the soup was a little too diluted, though still satisfying.
the highlight of my day, i at a scoop of

SWENSONS ICE-CREAM!!

the best ice-cream of the world that i can vouch for! i was introduced to swensons when i was a wee bairn and i really love the flavours. so imagine my joy when i got a scoop!! argh!!
though at the end of the day, as usual we had the talk about the risk we are taking and an interesting part of the conversation was the analogy of why anes talk to the patients, in short it was that if u know you are taking a risk= prepare for it.
i'm sorry, i know we are taking a risk but how do i deal with it if i am confident in u but i am not sure that u are confident in me? how do i deal with this gut feeling that you are the best for me yet i feel that you don't feel the same way?
and lastly, do u have any doubts in me?
well, as somebody said to me, be patient..and i will, for the first time i will.
